This does not compute.

Bruh I expect my vehicles to be reliable. I also expect them to sustain damage and need expensive repairs if I run into things. You got a you problem not a truck reliability problem.

That Bellaire crash is a great example of why new vehicles are better.

I agree, but, they picked a car with no "A" pillar.

my 2022 tundra is junk.

i went through a regular car wash and the machine knocked off the big plastic cover on my passenger side mirror.

The electronic tailgate is broken. Need to bring back to the dealer.

The integrated dashcam is broken and constantly beeps. They said its an SD card update needed, and they are backordered.

Every few months, the touchscreen makes me change some random PIN number and flashed constantly until i do this. I have no clue what the PIN is for.

The plastic cover over the back of the console is garbage, and got knocked off while I was putting in my hunting bag. Not much force was applied to do this.

I am very disappointed overall at this. I have driven toyotas since 1990 and always very satisfied with the quality. This one however is garbage

You could always get an F 150 and have the transmission fail at 142k, despite proper services and paw paw type driving. Piece of junk !

I've probably had 25 different work trucks over the years, all Chevy until the early 2000's when they got into bed with DC and we switched to Fords. We had a major roll in the new Toyota Tundra plant they built in San Antonio so we got a Tundra at a big discount they offered us, that thing was the biggest piece of crap I ever drove. Electrical issues, wheel bearing issues that took weeks to resolve, plastic interior breaking, etc. Sold it the day after the job was over lol. Ford had a good run for a while but they are shite now along with about all of the others according to mechanics we use. We probably have about 100 to 115 trucks on the road at any one time and in the last 4 years or so we've had to put new top ends on about 20 ford's due to the cam phaser issue. Dealer finally had to start helping out on the repairs after hitting double digits having the same issue, damn things would knock like a old farm tractor when you started them. Pretty much pick your poison at this point.

Those are the type of issues Toyota’s usually do not have. Surprising. Sure new model years always have bugs but these problems shouldn’t exist.

Sounds like the driver not the truck is the problem here

Toyota is reliable I.e the electronics and drivetrain. It doesn’t get many recalls. All vehicles are made to “collapse” on impacts for safety regulations nobody claimed a Toyota was a tank where you can run over shite

250k miles used to absolutely unheard of. 100k was an anomaly, even if the engine held together the body would rust off. 250k miles on a vehicle that still looks fairly new is not any kind of feat to pull off these days. We really forget just how unreliable old stuff was.

Yea a 1960s Ford truck was tagged out by 100k miles. People didn’t drive far then like they do today. People also forget all the little shite you had to work on with old truck like constantly tuning the carburetor

You keep hitting shite. No truck is made to hit shite.

I have an 18 and it’s hands down the best truck I’ve ever had.
