Offshore Fishing...lunch?

Going offshore fishing for the 1st time this weekend. I am suppose to bring lunch while on the boat for 5 people. I was going to bring pre-made sandwiches. What are some better ideas?

Premade seems to get soggy no matter what. I'd rather make them on the boat. The tiny propane grills that go into the rod holders are legit

LOTS OF BEER AND WHISKY. Also, dramamine 30 minutes prior to boarding the vessel since you've never been. Better safe than sorry. That's a long arse time on the water if you're sick. I've never had the problem, but have seen many who did.

1. Catch Blackfin at dawn.
2. Make Sashimi from said Blackfin
3. Enjoy Sashimi
4. ...??
5. Profit
Or sammiches will do fine

peanut packs and granola bars are pretty good additions but I've only done sammiches (and sashimi)

Bring big bag of cut up watermelon, cantelope, grapes etc. throw in ice chest on the way out. Awesome when you are sweating your butt off.

Bags and bags of beef jerky is always my go-to. Can't beat a good bj off-shore

Bring a ziplock bag, a few limes, black pepper, etc...
Catch a fish, chop him up, put in bag with other ingredients and toss onto the deck.
Voila...ceviche.

I was coming to say the same. Or, get a few dozen legs and bake them off the night before.

Absolutley.
The key is to buy it the night before and leave it in the fridge overnight with the box OPEN. This allows it to chill without the crust getting soggy. Throw it in a zip loc the next morning and you are good to go.
