What if you hit a stump or oyster bed? The Native has been known to break off.

I've never heard of the drive breaking from hitting something, it's pretty stout. We just recently had a post in the native Facebook group about how many people have broken propellers and they were few and far between. I've hit a ton of crap with my and drive and have never broken a prop or anything from an impact.

You have the option of locking it down or not. I choose not because of stumps. It moves easily if it hits something

out of all the new pedal drives on the market, I'm most intrigued by the Jackson FD for sure.

And that BOTE Rover looks like a Solo Skiff killer to me, cool looking ride if I was in the market for that type of boat

I haven't seen it posted, though I haven't really looked either, but what's the expected price on that Bote Rover? If it's not close to the Solo Skiff then I don't think it'll hurt Solo sales. I think a big draw of the Solo Skiff is the fact that it's only $1850.

Regular Bote board are $1850, Their flagship fisher is $2400, the rover will be around $2800-3200, without accessories you see

If that's the case then I'd consider them absolutely no threat to the Solo Skiff at all.

Thats the feedback Ive seen on their facebook as they have been slowly releasing info about this. Their response is, it is a different market, meaning people with more $$$

If I were looking for a new paddle boat, the NuCanoe Flint would get a serious look. Flint

Definitely the most bang for your buck for a quality platform...going to compete with entry and budget conscious paddlers looking at Ascends, etc.

I just like the size/weight, the open layout, and the built in feature. Yes, Wildy and Native, I'm looking at you.
