Yes, I only ran into this once with one of those V7 extreme environment tubes (they are noticeably thicker than a conventional tube)

^I think this is the issue I’m having. I installed one of the Lantac nitrided tubes and the flange is pretty thickkk by my estimation. I found online that m-guns sells a tool specifically for making small bends/adjustments to the tube so I’ll try this out. In case anyone else has this issue here’s a link to the tool. Email them and they’ll set you up with one.

About to acquire a AR with a Magpul Pmag 30 rd. magazine. Do all Magpul mags fit ? I see Gen 2 , Gen 3, Gen 2 MOE.

I don't have a fricking clue what any of it means.

Yes they’re essentially the same thing. The 3a are a little better but 2s are fine

Do any of y'all have an Inforce weapon light on your AR?

Optics Planet (I know, I know) had an 800 lumen 2 cell on sale for $110 so I figured I'd give it a try (if it ever comes in)

Look at an Olight warrior. It’s crazy bright and not much more.

Ok, so after 3 weeks my AR came in from sportsman’s outdoor superstore. $25 for transfer at Cabela’s. Gave it a once over at the store and left. Got home then noticed that the Forward Assist Plunger is not there.

My question is this: can I get any forward assist assembly off the net and it will work? Or are these all OEM?

It will be much cheaper and easier to do this myself than to send it back, etc.

What brand AR did you get? Was it a complete rifle?

You can pick up a plunger and spring pretty much anywhere online. They're all standard.

Is the upper equipped for a forward assist? Not trying to insult your intelligence but I find it hard to believe a dealer sold you a complete rifle with parts missing.

Yeah, that is extremely bizarre. I can't believe a QC department would let that out the door

No offense taken, but yes it's designed for a forward assist.

I'm quite the Philistine when it comes to guns, but I noticed that it didn't have that "little button" that is in all of the pics of the gun. It is a Ruger AR 556 MPR.

I've watched a few videos, so it doesn't look very difficult. I could be pissed and throw shite and and write nasty emails and still have a rifle without a forward assist plunger. Or I could just fix it.

It isn’t necessary if you don’t want to put on on it.

If you do, it’s a spring, plunger and roll pin.

Extremely easy

I'm sure if you contacted Ruger they would send you one.
