Indeed.

This is certainly part of what is needed. The mentally unwell don’t need to be given any ideas by seeing this kind of stuff broadcasted.

Found an extensive post from you on prepping. According to people on here you’re the expert. I thought I’d reach out for advice on starting a group of likeminded folks in my area in case stuff should pop off.

Where (general area) is your group located? I am thinking of starting a group like this in southeast Louisiana and am wondering how to get it going...or join an already established group.
If you’re talking spare parts, it’s never a bad idea to have a spare barrel, bolt (or entire BCG), some gas tubes and a buffer/spring kit. The other stuff shouldn’t wear out unless you’re jumping in the ocean with it.
Have you checked Jim’s Firearms (BR), Apocalypse Sports (Ponchatoula), Bowie Outiftters (BR), Gretna Guns (NOLA)?

Yes, I only ran into this once with one of those V7 extreme environment tubes (they are noticeably thicker than a conventional tube)

^I think this is the issue I’m having. I installed one of the Lantac nitrided tubes and the flange is pretty thickkk by my estimation. I found online that m-guns sells a tool specifically for making small bends/adjustments to the tube so I’ll try this out. In case anyone else has this issue here’s a link to the tool. Email them and they’ll set you up with one.

Tube Bender

Got a build question for you experts. After building a few ARs (15s and 10s) I seem to run into a common issue: the gas tube alignment. I read posts in forums where you have guys saying “when it’s properly aligned the key should basically not contact the tube” well...I’ve never been lucky enough to experience that. What am I doing wrong? My carrier key doesn’t knock against the tube but definitely has some resistance when it makes contact. Do I bend the tube after the fact for better alignment?
I’m not Catholic but am highly impressed that this priest is bold enough to teach his congregation how to vote on real moral issues. Believers in Christ understand that their citizenship is ultimately in heaven but we also need to be careful not to become irrelevant to the world by playing the “I’d rather not get political” game. We need more priests and pastors willing to cut through the feelings and stand up for what’s right.
We can only hope. Definitely an increasing number of them in attendance at Trump rallies.

This place looks great! Might be the ticket.
The main differences are that billet lowers/uppers are usually made to a little tighter tolerances (tighter fit)and can come in different design schemes than your standard forged lowers. That being said, forged lowers are a little stronger on a metallic structure level given that most of their final shape was molded in a hot forge as opposed to billet lowers that were simply cut out of a block of aluminum. For civilian use this isn't going to matter though. Go with a reputable brand and buy what you like and can afford. Aero Precision would be my personal recommendation.

Kayaking near Fayetteville, AR

Anyone know of any good spots for this in the area and/or places where my friend could rent a kayak?
An even better question is: If I’m not required to wear a mask at my restaurant table but am when I walk 5 ft to go to the restroom...what is ANY of this preventing?
Best thing would be for him to use Hydroxychloroquine in his recovery and prove he was right all along.

Very true. Biden tried to blame the loss of jobs on Trump himself instead of CV-19...**STARES STRAIGHT INTO CAMERA** If Trump recovers and gives a compelling “I’m in your corner” type of message then it could help him relate to the elderly and jobless in this time.

Does anyone know what the correct torque spec is for a castle nut on a carbine length buffer tube? ARMY TM 9-1005-319-23&P says that the spec is 40 FOOT-lbs when torquing a rifle length buffer tube but then says 40 INCH-lbs for the castle nut on a carbine tube. Consensus online seems to be that this is a typo and 40 ft-lbs is correct. Can someone confirm this?
