I could understand missing something internal like a firing pin, but a forward assist? How many people had to handle that gun to ship it out and none of them noticed?

Get a pin punch and fix it yourself. 
Drive the pin in from underneath so any scratches will be hidden.

I saw a guy on another forum offering a Colt Python and an H&K P7 for a Q Mini fix.
I figure that was $5k+ worth of pistols for a $2k gun that isn't available yet.
