I don't know about the wipes.

The wipes are optional (comes with another, flush end cap that doesn't have the space for them if I'm not mistaken). The coolest part about them, and what made me want one, is that supposedly the sound reduction in the K configuration with a wipe is on par with the full length configuration without it. As long as accuracy isn't dramatically affected I'm all for it.

If you're looking for a shorter can you could go with the Octane 9 which is 7.5" vs 8.5" for the Octane 45. Another option is the Omega K at 4.7". dB ratings as follows for 9mm:

Octane 9: 127.0
Omega 9K: 131.5
Octane 45: 130.4

The Octane 45 would be the longest and second loudest. But, consider that the Omega K is under 1dB louder than the Octane 45 at almost half the length. Also, I know you have the .300BLK and all three will shoot the subsonics for that. These are Silencerco's published numbers, so take it how you want.

I already have a omega in jail for the 300.

Kinda want the option to shoot my 45 suppressed down the road so Ima stick with 45 pistol can.

Go with the Obsidian then. Option to change lengths is a huge plus.

In that case I would go Octane 45 or Obsidian and then get a 9mm end cap to shave some dB.

ETA: With a slight lean towards the Obsidian for modularity as Chat mentioned.

Noice. Twang n' bang Review
Check out that review. He is a bit biased but he goes over it well.

Want to know how I know that I am a dumbass? I went to go see my dealer today. Made the comment that I had bought several pistons for my Octane. He asked me when I picked that up. Told him no idea and for him to check his own damn books. Long story short, I bought a Tirant 45 and not an Octane 45.

Time to return some pistons and get the right ones. Might want to learn to read along the way too. Bought a Serbu today and will pick up a Salvo tomorrow. I will read the description twice before pressing enter though.

Anybody have recommendations for a flashlight kit? Its for my patrol rifle for work. I was looking around and saw some setups but just curious if the OB has any experiences, good or bad.

Just got home and found that stock kit I ordered on Feb 25th had come in and even had an upgraded music wire spring in the kit. I'm still waiting on a LPK from RRA that I ordered on Jan 1st. Fantastic shipping times and product looks great. Even through in a free shirt. I'll be referring my friends your way next time one is looking for anything. Very happy customer here.

PS Love the logo on the shirt

I've got one from Primary Arms. It's actually brighter than my $700 Surefire.

Anyone have experience with pistol caliber sbrs? Been thinking of building a 5" 9mm to run suppressed, seems like it would be a fun shooter. Any negatives?
