So you pay for everything and then wait a year?

what if the dealer goes out of business?

Some people are claiming 3-4 months if you efile with a trust. Also not all dealers require you to pay in full for the suppressor at the time of filing from what I hear. Maybe like half. But I would go into it expecting to shell out all the dough.

Yeah. Wait times are decreasing but my sbr stamp took 11 months.

Tell me this. Wouldn't adding a supressor to say a .223 make it long as frick?

My specwar 5.56 was $550 and the 7.62 was $720 with the muzzle devices. Plus the $200/ea. Paid up front, and waiting 3-4 months.

No doubt. But that's why I made an SBR first. My suppressor will add 5" so I will be at a 17" total length...which is the same length as a legal 16" barrel with a typical A2 flash hider

Ordered them through Silencer Shop. Some of the lowest prices online.

Would I just swap the upper? What is the shortest legal length you can have on a rifle?
Posted on 2/27/14 at 11:29 am to Broke
16" barrel is the shorted legal length without filing a form 1 with the ATF to "build" a short barreled rifle (SBR)

Wait, so you need to do a form for a short barreled rifle and then another form and money for a supressor? This is getting crazy.

Yea $400 total in tax stamps for the sbr and suppressor. You can run the suppressor on multiple calibers tho, so one with qd mounts can go from 300 to 556 rather quickly

1 build it as a pistol
2 apply for tax stamp
3 get stamp
4 add stock to pistol
