I know most of y'all don't make it over to the OT, but our OB member fishfighter needs prayers.

If one of my children does that, I will blame myself until my last breath. Doesn't matter that it's not a parent's fault. It's how my brain is wired. I would never recover.

Very sad situation indeed. My dad did that in 2010 and I still think about it everyday. We were best buds and not having him here is extremely difficult. I can't imagine losing a child. Fish will need all the prayers and support that he can get.You don't get over an event like that. He has some tough days ahead for sure but family and friends can help in a huge way. Praying for them at this time.

Like it or not, a parent only has "control" over their children until about 15ish. After that all you can do is pray and hope they make the right choices. We've all seen the parents suffer watching their adult children unable to right the ship. The parents can exhaust themselves mentally, physically and financially but it only helps if the adult child is willing and able to accept the guidance. A lot of the time that effort, while well intentioned, just doesn't help.

Prayers to fishfighter's family. That's close to my age and i couldnt imagine what he was going through. Hopefully he left behind no kids. Sad sad situation

I know several of y'all have met fish building pirouges and what not. We'll get a lil game plan together.

Fish I hope you read this thread. I've never met you but I feel like I know you just because we both post here on the OB often. I can't imagine your pain but god loves you and your family and I'll pray for you. You're family needs you to be strong in this time.
