We have a good sized crew meeting up at the sorrento exit on 10 at noon then going into Livingston Parish. Not sure what direction we're going yet but glad to help anyone's friends or family if possible.

Has anybody heard from redfish I talked to him last night and he was still out rescuing people. Haven't heard from him since midnight, he said the water was ripping and had two foot of Whitewater.

You should see the stuff floating down the river in front of me. I've seen a paddle boat, a refrigerator, propane tanks, chairs, trees, all kinds of stuff.

Checking in. Water is in my yard and is absolutely unbelievable. I did a few water rescues via kayak. I'm about to go back out with bolt cutters and take down some chain link fence to provide access for mud boats

I am in Birmingham but I am going to return to Baton Rouge area to provide flood relief and clean up operations after the threat subsides.

I have emailed the EBR homeland security and emergency preparedness and I'm waiting to hear back for how I can help. If you have any leads please pass them along.

Checking in, we were able to catch boat rides out of Bellingrath last night around 11pm, then waited our turn at central fire station to board the military vehicles. They shuttled us over to Central Middle School. From there, the family of our friends scooped us up since they lived nearby and we made it to their house around 5AM. Now we just going to wait it out here until Bellingrath water levels drop so we can go check on houses and vehicles. I doubt I'll make it home to Albany anytime soon though. I don't think we got water in our house in Albany, only our shed and camper.

Whoever down voted, if this isn't the place to post then let me know. I'm a world away but this seems to be the best place to post to request help. Thanks.
