Madison Sheahan was Team Captain for the Ohio State rowing team and worked directly with coach Urban Meyer to develop leadership programs for other Ohio State team captains. Over the last three years she has been working directly and indirectly work with the Governor of South Dakota, Kristi Noem, in leadership positions where she worked on legislation relating to wildlife, agriculture, and natural resources. She also played a major role in passing one of the strongest bills in the nation protecting women’s sports. Madison has a bachelor’s degree in public affairs, public management, leadership, and policy and agri-business. She served as an Ohio FFA State Officer. She is an avid hunter and loves the outdoors.

You people make me shake my head. That's a really bad picture is most of it.

She's not a knockout by any stretch but she is a woman.

If she has 1000 acres of prime land with a few duck ponds, I’ll volunteer as tribute

Some of y’all need a reality check. She seems to be a brilliant person who has accomplished more in her career field than most of y’all ever will. Picking on her for her looks is low. Be better than that.

I listened to her interview. She didn't say anything of substance and did not take a position on anything just kept repeating that she wants to work with this or that person to move LA forward in a positive direction blah blah blah. Dry canned responses. If she is honestly attempting to change the direction and the perception of the department, she needs to take a much different approach then going on a widely distributed radio show with someone like Don Dubuc and act like political drone with the personality of a cardboard box.

I hope she does well for our sake but for a 26 year old woman who admits she has never hunted or fished in this state, I was expecting way more of a presentation.

ETA, Don asked her about Pogie boats, freshwater divertion, duck migration patterns, license sales, and several other stuff and basically got no response.

I'm just skeptical because it seems like a whole lot of political BS.

She's 26, how much experience does she really have?

I hope she's awesome, but on the surface this just seems like a political favor that doesnt benefit us.

Of course it is a political favor, as are several other Landy appointees. He’s building national capital, the only question is what does he have his eyes set on? AG? Cabinet member? Senate run?
