I was looking at 2018 (just because that’s what was first on results list) crew cabs.
F150 were 80” wide and rangers were 85” wide
Either way, I can’t understand wanting a smaller truck for the same price.

I hate how big 1/2 ton trucks are. I'd pay more for a smaller truck if they were the same equality with the same features and didn't have such a tiny bed. I almost bought the long bed Canyon last year, but it's just not quite there.

bro got rid of his canyon for a taco. canyon had some type of transmission shuttering issue. he heard from a reputable mechanic that all chevy is doing is just trying to get them past the warranty mileage. fricking chevy's.

Hard pass on GM.
Their parts suppliers, while better than they were, are still bottom-rung.
Great engineering, bean counters buying parts...

It would make a lot more sense if there were a bigger price gap between the two. I’m not gonna pay $30K+ for a damned midsize truck
How much are the fully loaded rangers going for?

i'm thinking you're damn near mid to very upper 40's.

You don’t understand why I wouldn’t want to pay over 30 grand for a midsized truck?
Posted on 1/31/20 at 11:24 am to Chad504boy
I wasn’t sure of the exact price, didn’t wanna over-exaggerate too much
I seem to remember the s-10s and the rangers being way cheaper than the full sized trucks back in the day, but I could be wrong
Used to want a ZR-2 so bad when I was in high school

Bought a new Tacoma 4x4 about 3 years ago. I'd buy the exact same truck in a heartbeat, but I never have more than 2 adults and a toddler in it.

I'm not able to do that outside of my previous response.

Price isn't the main factor driving the midsize truck market, and it isn't what caused Ford to start making the Ranger again. Demand for a midsize option is what is driving the market.

Just my opinion, but if I were to spend that much on a midsized, I’d just rather go ahead spend a tad bit more and get the big boy version

Assuming mpg were close the same, what reasons would someone have for wanting to downsize?
Posted on 1/31/20 at 12:18 pm to Mr. Hangover
No clue. Whatever reason they want.
