I don't think you necessarily made a ad purchase. You are just cutting one acre of grass as a home owner so that mower will last you many years. I just read a lot and spoke to people before buying and IMO the Hustler really was the better option of all the mowers I looked at but again I use mine more than you will.

I do think you should go see the dealer with the info on the Ariens being $1K cheaper and see if they try to treat you fairly. If not, that will tell you that you are going to have issues with them going forward. Most places would do something to make it right if they want more of you business and recommendations.

Man just go enjoy your mower. It ain't your livelihood, just something to get a chore done.

Congrats on the new machine.

Not to keep piling on OP but every March or April Gravely has a HUGE sale where you can get 15%-20% off give or take. That's the only reason I tested a Gravely because I could have gotten a great deal on one at the time.

I hate that the dealer took him for an extra $1K.

Just found my receipt. Paid $3678.77 for my Gravely 42", with 3 year service plan included. It doesn't have LED lights, spinning rims, CD player, locking differential, headers or a power seat, but it does have a beer holder. Does what I need it to do.

It's a mower. Take care of it and it'll take care of you.
