I built daughter #2 a crib and refinished her bedroom furniture. Then she got here in September and just haven't had a spare moment since.
May pick up the stripping stuff and give a night stand a go here soon. I will post pics.

Hey, anybody have a radial arm saw that they don't use anymore and looking to sell? Been trying to find a used one for a project I have on my mine. Don't have to look good as long as it runs. Don't need any blades, cause I will be converting it over to sharpen bandsaw mill blades.
Been checking craigslist and none.

Anyone into refurbing old axes or hatchets? Shaping their own handles? I'm really intrigued by this. Just wondering if anyone else here has an interest.

I think I had posted some pics when I started this several pages back, still not done but nearing completion. Still need to mount the rest of the rollers and kayak cradles, finish the wiring, make a battery tray and switch panel and a couple odds and ends.
Mounted a Battery Tender solar panel to keep the 12v battery fresh.
Ran the wiring for the side lights through these little marine wiring passage plug things.
Ran them to the battery to just test them out.
For the inside I already had LEDs under my truck bed rail but wanted more lighting up high, bought some of these LED strips from Amazon. Also wrapped the rod rack in pipe insulation to keep my rod and reels from getting beat up.
Wired them direct to the battery to try out. One strip would have been plenty.

don't know how neat it is but I finished this up for the little guy last week and he loves it. My phone is a potato so apologies for the pic quality.

Threw this together in about 2 hours for my mom> Picked up a stray mutt. Turned out bigger than expected.

I just built this for my boys for Christmas. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with the set for a first attempt.
I love this thread. There are some talented folks here.

Those look great. I started building corn hole games to sell...way too much work for how much I could sell them for.

If I still lived in LA I could have given you some metal roofing for the roof and/or outside of it.
I was driving through the country the other day, and some guy had a house for his dog. But it was facing NORTH.

Where around br can you go to get good wood for building a farm table? Thinking probably cypress. The only place I've ever heard of is up around the Baton Rouge zoo but I'm not entirely sure they sell to just anyone.

There was actually a guy in this thread I think, that has a warehouse and sells wood. A few baws were going over there...it's somewhere in these 48 pages lol.

Staple you a couple crown royal bags in the holes, keeps you from flipping it over to get the washers.
Only other thing I did on mine was add a chain or ropes it stays the right distance apart.

Posted this in the early stages of this thread. If anyone is interested I'll let it go for a good price. Need to clear some space

My list of projects is growing, some of the cooler one are below.
King size platform bed with a headboard made from 19th Century doors from India made out of 3" Teak with the old iron nails in it. Lights are 1920's cast brass fixtures with the original glass that is on a dimmer on the left side of the bed.

I have pieces of wood/slabs up to 6"x6'x12'. Probably around 24 different species. All exotics from Costa Rica, no cypress. Located in Mandeville.
I have slabs/beams up to 24' but not as wide as mentioned above.
