Y'all confirmed that it ain't a water snake I'm assuming?

In the video, it has that triangular pit viper head shape.

I'd say cottonmouth.

They still want some land. They can't stay in just water.

I shot one a little bit smaller than that with a single shot .243 at a shooting range once. It flew into the air and got hung up in the tree branches about 5' up. It was still very alive and extremely pissed off.

True story.

It probably is a big cottonmouth, but I can't take anyone seriously if they use the old forced perspective camera trick.

There's a video link at the bottom that shows the snake moving. It doesn't appear to be a camera trick

This might be the worst long arming photo i've ever seen. Monster snake, but that picture of the guy holding it is absurd. Guy looks like he has an 8 year old boys body because of the picture angle.

I can't watch the video at work. But it IS a camera trick. Standing 8 feet behind something in a photo ALWAYS makes it look bigger than it is. I'm not saying it's not a 5' cottonmouth. I'm saying that photo makes it look WAY bigger than it is.

For example:

Seven, eight feet, maybe?

Nope, same snake two minutes later.

The link is a news website with video on it. And I get what you're saying about the camera but that video looks to back up the size and girth of it.

Either way bang bang.
