about to start a firestorm here.

This was a pretty heated discussion a while ago. I'm with you though.

Good video.

But you really gotta do something about that paper outline. It's pretty distracting.

Once again, I agree with everything said. at people who carry with an empty chamber.

I can cover much more ground than 20ft in a second and a half or 2 seconds.

Good video. I didn't even know some people carry without a loaded chamber. Thats the crazy.

I'm fine with an external safety. Big difference between racking a slide and flipping a safety.

We are all very proud of you. You must be an athlete...

Bapple, the stat you are looking for is the average person can cover 21 feet in 1.5 seconds.

They do it out of fear of having to draw and being too excited/scared which might cause them to pre-maturely hit the trigger.

I'll probabl do a mix of the two.

Like if I'm in a restaurant I might not chamber one since I am unlikely to be the first target if I'm not sitting near the door. Same with other places with similar scenarios.

Then again, I'm a noob so I am just being scared.

Thats why everyone chooses to carry without a round in the chamber. Practice until you are competent with the weapon, competence leads to confidence - Chuck Yeager

Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves.

I do this so that someone who doesn't feel like watching the video can get my opinion by pausing it. And having the stuff listed out prevents me from missing anything.

I'll annotate that in the video later. Thanks!

Mine has been nothing short of amazing. It has been flawless over thousands of rounds and continues to be one of the best bangs for the buck. It's also amazingly easy for novice shooters to learn on.

I agree with your last statement.

As RA said, you just need to build your confidence. An unloaded gun is a hammer.

The one thing I would add to this is to always conceal carry the same way and practice at the range the same way. If you're going to carry with an empty chamber, always do it that way. If you carry with the safety off, always do it that way. Carry in the same position with the same holster (if possible). You want any draw in a stressful situation to be instinctual muscle memory, not clunky because you added an extra step you aren't used to.

I'm actually working on a video idea for this too.

The entire point of this video is to avoid people making this mistake from the beginning. Carrying with an empty chamber should only be a stepping stone.

I absolutely agree with this.

When you have to draw, you won't be thinking, only reacting. That's why it's important to practice the same way.
