Looking for a recommendation. Looking for something that keeps the bugs out, but at the same time won’t give everyone cancer.

Anyone have success with a system they’ve had installed?

I have a Bug Stomper system in my barn. Safe for people as well. Works well and has been in service for over 10 years.

They get my vote

We do the permethrin spray every 3 weeks and it works good, but I’m about to buy these: Spartan Mosquito

My neighbor uses them and they work.

Just bought 2 of those Spartan systems. Haven't put em out yet, but have heard good reviews. Even if it works a little, it's worth it for the cheap price.

I have bad mosquito problems at my place. I just checked out the site and don't really have anywhere to hang these close enough to my patio except for under the soffit on my house. I'd imagine that would work well enough.

I just bought a couple of Spartan mosquito tubes a few weeks ago and hung them up. We'll see how good it works, but the reviews are very good. Also, you don't hang them next to your patio, you put them in the corners of your yard. They attract the mosquito, don't want that underneath a patio

I'm looking to get rid of a mosquito system, everything is new. Also have a couple gallons of pyrethrin. Anyone interested? It's a small tankless system that injects the chemicals into a water source, instead of a the bigger drums.

I'm using Terminix. Monthly treatment for nine months. Uses a garlic based natural spray. I was skeptical initially. Enjoyed outdoors all last summer. Only had mosquitos a few isolated times. A bayou runs right through my back yard so in prior years we've been shut out of using outdoor patio, yard etc. Already renewed and had first treatment for this summer. It works.

Contact the city. I’ve heard they will come out and spray your yard and increase the drive-by sprayings in your area if you call and complain about mosquitos.

Bumping this.

How are those Spartan tubes working? Thinking about buying some but can’t find much in the way of independent reviews on it.

Thanks.

What this guy said. I email or call the city every week almost and get them to spray my yard. It’s free and effective

No offense but you call effective having to call them out every week? I'd rather not have to call and just have people show up every 3 weeks, sit back, drink a beer, and watch them work. Then, I'll go outside at ANY part of my front or back yard and drink that beer and not worry about getting bit.

If you live in East Baton Rouge Parish call the Mosquito Abatement department and they schedule next day spraying in your back yard for free.

I call them every thursday morning and they spray my backyard on Friday. Free. It's been amazing and have really kept down mosquito's and the call only takes 2-3 minutes.

You do not have to be there. They just leave a hanging pamphlet on your door when they come letting you know they sprayed. They will come every week if you call but it should last 3 weeks without any problem.

I just bought the spartan tubes as well after a high recommendation from a friend. $20 for 2 tubes that treats up to an acre. They are supposed to be good for up to 90 days. Friend lives on a lake with a pretty good mosquito population and says he hasnt been bitten by a mosquito since he put them up. I just put mine up a few days ago, but i've been out of town since and can't give personal review yet, but i live on a lake and have a pretty good mosquito population myself. Will hopefully have a good personal review myself when i get back home to see how it is working.
