re: Rumor: META to acquire CLECO

Posted by Reboot on 11/16/25 at 10:04 am to
CLECO used to be a publicly traded company, but management sold the company to Macquarie Investment group several years ago. Macquarie has stated they have no intention of holding this investment over the long term, so yes - its entirely reasonable to think that META could acquire CLECO.

No love for Chief?

You mean Third and Chevis?
Short memory..
Damn son. Ever been around the back side of a window unit? Ever been anywhere? Ever done anything?

Kinda looks like tea leoni…..

Nope. She looks good but not that good
Maybe partially due to Sleepy Joe shutting down the LNG exports to exact his revenge on Texas (and collateral damage to LA) for trying to stem this open border atrocity.

re: Speed Trap Thread?

City Bar, Heberts Specialty Meats, and speeding tickets is basically how they fund everything there

So stop doing business with City Bar and Specialty Meats. You have to put pressure on these business owners to stop looking the other way and letting this BS go on. Once their business begins to suffer, you better believe they’ll be at city council meetings demanding changes. That is the only way..

Winner winner chicken dinner !
I have the BakFlip MX4 on my 2017 Tundra. It’s been great and I would buy it again
We didn’t call it the Deaf Dome for nothing! Cant call it that anymore though... 1) nobody bothers to get loud and rowdy; 2) somebody’s feels will get hurt if you call it that
You boys in Lafayette can have Guilbeau (please). He always has such a positive outlook (lol)

Well that’s great! But... this man is a woman!
Yes I agree. A friend at a farm co-op recommended the Spartans. I was pretty skeptical, but tried them last year with great success. So I bought more for this year and set them up early. They don’t “eliminate” mosquitos, but we probably have less than 10% of what we used to have.
NOVEL Covid 19

NOVEL means it is indeed a new virus. Ever watch or read news? Been living under a rock?
Enjoy the rest of your life living with your grandma and stealing her social security checks you mental midget.

If you don’t like it then you obviously never watched him play. In his day, he was AMAZING. I’m not a fan of his whole name change thing, but that doesn’t take away from his generational talent, all while taking meds for his Tourette’s. So yeah, go ahead and flame Grampa, but I’m fortunate for having witnessed his legacy.
Wrong! Read a little history for once. Built for efficient movement of our troops from coast to coast
You obviously haven’t had a date since kindergarten graduation
I'm using Terminix. Monthly treatment for nine months. Uses a garlic based natural spray. I was skeptical initially. Enjoyed outdoors all last summer. Only had mosquitos a few isolated times. A bayou runs right through my back yard so in prior years we've been shut out of using outdoor patio, yard etc. Already renewed and had first treatment for this summer. It works.

re: need to buy a truck by year end...

Go with the Tundra. It’s everything you’re looking for in a reliable bulletproof truck. I bought my first Toyota in 1980, have driven Chevys, GMC, and F150 over the years. I’m back to Toyota, probably for good.
Ara Parseghian in talks to be next LSU Football Coach. Pure delusion !! (If you can remember this you're WAY too old.. like me)

re: Used boat: typical taxes /fees?

Posted by Reboot on 7/24/17 at 7:13 pm to
No sales tax on the boat. It is a "casual sale" if transfer is between two individuals. Like other poster said, make a second bill of sale for the trailer. DMV will calculate taxes when you register it. LDWF will charge for boat registration under all circumstances. None of these items are very significant.
Married 35 years. Still keep in touch with all of em. Our relationships have come and go over the years, as some have changed wives, changed stations in life, but yeah, we're still best of friends and now that we've navigated most of the changes that everyone goes through, we're still all close. Want some unsolicited advice? You've got to make this happen. Make a call to your old friend. Send him a funny pic. Make the effort. 35 years later, you'll both be better for it.

Go with Hawking. My shop is 150 ft from the house. I use a Hawking amplified antenna and a Hawking range extender. Have used them for several years. Very reliable and reasonably priced equipment. Got that recommendation from a friend who's in that line of work..
