I don't think you can equate any trends of republican mayors being elected in other LA cities with what happened in EBR. Coach Sid is (unfortunately) an outlier - relative to Republicans getting elected in other urban areas. I'm 50 and he coached our freshman football team at Catholic. He's a north Baton Rouge native, and has been coaching football in EBR public schools almost ever since. If you can imagine the positive in roads , connections, and positive influences he's made with black kids and their families over those years then you can easily see how how he would get enough votes to win in this situation. If he didn't get at least 30% of the black vote in EBR I would be surprised. Hopefully, especially being a newcomer to politics, he'll get the right folks in the right positions to turn things around.

Marker 54 glide shrimp and it's not even close. Tight lined or under a cork. Looks and acts like a natural shrimp more than a live shrimp with a hook through its horn or tail. Hard to beat a better set up and consistent producer than that under a 4 horseman cork. I love tight lining it so you can feel the strike, but sometimes that cork gives it a little more attention with the extra noise it creates.

re: ‘24 Toyota Tundras

I've got a '22 with 56k miles. No issues. Very happy with it thus far, and came from 2010 and 2019 Tundras. The new engine and transmission pull my 22' bay boat and 32' way better than my previous v8 tundras did. Time will tell how well that new setup compares to the old.

I'm in Baton Rouge and can make arrangements to meet.
I've got the 2022 Tundra and I tow a 32' 5th wheel with it. Had to do some rear suspension aftermarket upgrades, but pulls it fine. Good thing is you can still have a 1/2 ton ride when you don't need the extra beef in the suspension and stiffer 3/4 ride. Pulled it from BR up into northwest Arkansas through the Ozarks and I was pleasantly surprised. I was passing up big rigs going up some pretty good grades. If you have time to order or wait, you can get the adjustable air rear suspension option built-in, and not have to add anything aftermarket.
Country's Mobile RV Service will come to you (depending on location). He's out of Walker, but will travel. Helped me out of a bind in Fourchon last summer, as well as a few other warranty odds and ends.225.931.1754
My crew max limited has the rear window that rolls down. 23k miles on mine. Love it so far. Towed my 32' 5th wheel with it all through the Ozarks, and did great.Had a 2010 and 2019, loved the 5.7 v8, but (so far) this is engine/transmission setup is way more towing and gas mileage friendly - assuming it holds up long term like the 5.7 v8.

re: DirecTV / Dish Network

I've had both and prefer DISH hands down. I had Directv first and upon their promotional deal expiring tried to re-nogotiate twice with them, and told them I was going elsewhere then. DISH gave me a deal about $20 less/month for the same or better programming as directv's deal. But what is much better with DISH is their customer service and tech help if there are any issues. Much easier to get them on the phone, and am talking to people who aren't in India trying to walk me through a technical issue. Of course directv was quick to call back and want my business after I pulled the plug on them on moved on to DISH.
The blades are sharp, but coarse and the cordless knife doesn't reciprocate as fast as the corded version so I can shred some meat on smaller trout as it gets close to the tail. As long as I am fileting fish that are still cold (and the meat firm), I don't have that problem. I find those teeth can be a little too aggressive for smaller trout and can grab the skin when trying to separate the meat from the skin unless I leave a little bit of meat left on the skin. Works awesome on bass, sacalait, and reds that aren't too big.
It could just be the picture, but those rafters look bigger than 2x6 (in comparison to the 2x4 collar bracing and other framing). If 2x8's you could go up to r30 batts with the baffles assuming you have soffit vents and ridge venting. If 2x6's then do the r19 with baffles. DO NOT spray foam in your rafters AND try to vent your attic. When foaming, you are trying to create a yeti icechest out of your home. You need a different type of HVAC system that dehumidifies the air in the home, only allows for minimal introduction of outside air, and allows for certain air (gas from heating) to escape. You can cause way more problems than it is worth if you don't account for all of these variables and then some. What happens when you close an ice chest with just a little bit of heat and moisture in it and no way for it to escape? After a few weeks it is full of mildew. Venting an attic space with foam (in our climate) just introduces humid air to an area that it cannot escape from.
