Ban theater owners.

As part of a continued effort to enrich the movie-going experience of its patrons, Capital 8 Theaters in Jefferson City, Missouri, sent a fake gunman into a screening of the film ‘Iron Man 3' last weekend because, you know, what’s more thrilling to a captivated audience situated in a dark environment than a man decked out in full tactical gear, toting what appears to be a modified M4?
quote:
“We received a series of 911 calls stating that a man dressed in all black and body armor and a rifle was walking into Capital 8 Theaters,” Capt. Doug Shoemaker of the Jefferson City Police Department told local news affiliate ABC 17. Upon receiving the calls, the police sent out SWAT units that were prepared to encounter an active shooter situation.

How many people did this idea pass through without anybody realizing how incredibly fricking stupid it was?

Yeah that's a good way to get your head blown off.
Legitimately.

Theater owner said it's been planned for months; has no regrets.

And if an off duty cop had blasted that motherfricker, he'd be a hero in my book.

Wow.......the stupidity of some people. Lot of idiots involved here....the theater owner and the moron dressed up. Good grief, how in the hell didn't this guy get shot?
Posted on 5/11/13 at 3:21 am to That's BS
The second he brandished the fake weapon and didn't ID himself as police, someone should have capped him.

Yeah, I almost wish someone had winged him. I'd hate to see him critically injured for being stupid, but an FMJ to the shoulder would do.

What a bunch of idiots.

Exactly
I despise frivolous lawsuits but after the patrons realized it was a prank there should have been some frivolous arse kicking of the management

He probably would have got shot up here. But this theater will be sued by someone or charged by the DA, I bet. This type of "free speech" is no more protected or different than shouting "Fire! Fire!" in a crowded theater. Just my opinion.

Even if nobody shot him, a mad rush out the door could have caused injuries. Which would cause more lawsuits
