I'm scared of 4x4 launches.

I'm not to familiar with what the weak link is on the Dodge front ends...but on the Gm platform we use either a heavy duty Tie Rod end(cognito or similar) or start out with a pair of new moog tie rod ends and use tie rod sleeves...

also: from what I've seen lifted trucks can get pretty squirrely on 4x4 launches

My very first truck was a 5speed 2.2l 2wd Chevy s10 and I drove that thing like it was a hummer. It didn't live through high school.

I got my F150 brand new in 07, babied it for a year, put a couple dents in it, and it's been downhill ever since. Cruising around back roads drinking beer every weekend back then didn't exactly influence smart driving decisions either

If I ever let go of my steering wheel on the interstate, I'm probably gonna die.

Me too. Jeeps are known for the infamous "death wobble" and of course I've got it. Not to mention my bump steer. Good god it could get ugly quick.

I feel like my truck drives great, until I get behind the wheel of my brother's. Identical truck with 10,000 more miles and no lift. The lift kit makes a definite difference in rife quality. The short arse wheelbase doesn't help either

Had my ABS light came on with the frickin' alarm sounding off west of LC, it settled down and hasn't sounded off since.
Anyone know something I should?

What are you rubbing, pep? Truck, mods, times, #s, etc...?

I just finished a build and have not been to the dyno for tuning or to the track since the install...

but prior to the setup I have now, I was running a basically stock long block (block heads turbo)

the main mods I had were
EFI live custom tuning (moonshine)by Ridgerunner Diesel
Suncoast StageV trans
MBRP 4" exhaust
Banks Big Head Wastegate
dual lift pumps
Cognito HD tierod ends
Spring clamps for traction
Dyno'd 515 rwhp and 1107 ft lb tq
12.97@ 104mph in the 1/4 mi.

Current setup is
HTT66/71 Turbo
Carillo Rods
Swaintech ceramic coated pistons(cut & de-lipped)
heads mildly ported with screw in injector cups and stiffer valve springs(industrial Injection)
ARP Head Studs and ARP Main Studs
Industrial Injection 40% over injectors
Industrial Injection 42% over CP3
Profab cast flow Exhaust manifolds and pro flow up pipes
BD t-3 pedestal and 4" mandrel down pipe
MBRP 4" Exhaust
AirDogII 165
Stewart EMP Electric Water pump
Brute Force intake
fuel tank sump
EFI Live Custom tuning
Suncoast Stage V and 1056 convertor

Once I dial it in on the Dyno I should be right around 650rwhp and around 1400 ft lb tq
I should definitely be in the way low 12's, but hopefully I can hit my goal of high 11's

not bad for a 7500# daily driver CrewCab

Damnit you got some serious dollars tied up in that thing

High 11's would be sick for a daily driver

With EFI live My ECM has a 5 position switch...

I have a mileage tune(level 1)get 22mpg empty if I don't push on the pedal too much

A tow tune(level 2)increases hp and changes tq curve to optimum levels for towing. (get 15mpg towing whatever I put behind it)

A daily driver spirited tune(level 3)pretty quick and keeps most aholes from pulling around you thinking they can pass you just because you are big arse truck.

and two full race tunes(4&5)set up a bit different for different track conditions...

so daily driving is really just "daily driving"

I've driven a suped up chevy diesel before (no nearly as much as yours) and it's pretty freakin sick. It's weird to get in a 3/4 ton truck and feel like you're driving a corvette.

I can't help myself...especially when someone pulls around the side of me at a stop light because they want to go around the big truck/get ahead of them before their turn or exit...

I even do it sometimes with the work trailer(8500#'s) behind it...

I can't help but frick with the ricers with the big coffee can exhausts tips...

the truck is definitely a sleeper...

just don't try to out corner them...

A few years back,my first time out at Gulfport Dragway some old guy pulls up in his brand new vette...does his burn out and stages...I launch in 4x4...no wheel spin, and just leave him in the rear view mirror...he pulls around me on the return lane and I pull up behind him to get my time slip and the guy at the little shack giving out the time slips hand him his time slip and points and laughs cause he just got owned by a 7500# truck...poor guy left the track after that humiliation...

so yeah... it's fun messing with people street or strip...

Had that on my F250 the first couple of months I got it. Not a fun time at all. Fords and Dodges get it more often than you think too
