Has anyone noticed deer doesn't melt the ice as fast as fish? I haven't figured it out yet, but sometime's, usually late in the season, I don't have to hardly add ice at all after the initial ice down.

late in the season it's cold outside, ice not gonna melt like it will when you are catching fish during the summer

I have a lifetime soft sided cooler that has been great for kids sporting events and the beach. $50 vs the $299 for yeti hopper. Pretty much every lifetime product I have purchased has held up.

When I was a kid we would stop at a shrimp house on the way to Cocodrie and get block ice. GOAT.
Been wondering about the dispensing machines in the Rouses parking lots on the way to Grand Isle (and all over BR). What size do they dispense? The best thing about Slow Melt is the bigger chunks hold up longer and don’t dilute my whiskey as fast.

Show your age!!!!
Went to walmarks for an ice pick one day and had to find an old employee who knew what they were to locate one for me.

No doubt. Asked a couple of employees at Lowe’s for wooden clothespins last week, finally had to find a lady my age and she took me right to them. The younger ones didn’t know what I was taking about.

Getting old sucks, but it beats being young and stupid.

The ones near me have 16 lbs of ice in a bag or 20 lbs of loose ice dumped in your cooler for a $1.75

I have a 53qt color-less cooler and even when full of ice, drinks, and groceries, I can lift it, and I'm a girl. It's part of my favorite thing about it. you should look into one. Did I mention it holds ice, drinks, and groceries?
that being said, fish go in the seat-chest, because they don't stay longer than a day anyway, and I've never been a fan of wiping the fish slime off the lip of my drink.

Might want to get in some gym time. When they seal up, you gotta get down on it to open it. Or break the seal on the drain plug.

my only complaint is that sometimes the seal around the drain plug has a slow leak
My complaint with my Yeti 65. So it's in good company.

Is this some crazy tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theory? How in the hell can the time of year affect what goes on INSIDE of the icechest? How can an inanimate object even know what month it is?
Is there some special dial on the newer "better" icechest where you set the time of year? How do it know??? Is this part of the new "common core" BS they teach in school today?

Lift it, sure. Carry it for any real distance... Not without getting out of breath
I had to carry my 69 the other night from the street around my buddy's house, and into his back yard by the pool.
I called him before I got there and had him put me on speaker phone.
Exact words, "I need help carrying this damned ice chest"
Ice chests are now heavy enough that no one gave me shite for it. A fully loaded 69qt is 180lbs.
