Been reading some good things about LS tractors.
It appears they are a rebranded New Holland?? Anybody have any experience with them?

Go check out Star Equipment in Hammond. We bought a Kubota MX5200 last year that was lightly used for a pretty good price. If you catch them at the right time they might have a trade in that would fit what you are looking for.

I have the MX5100 and it’s a great tractor. I bought right before they put all the emissions stuff on them.

Look at a 4 wheel drive. When you get the smaller framed/lighter weight tractors, 2 wheel drive can tear the ground up pretty bad especially when you have the FEL full.
I’ve got a kubota l2800 (30hp one) with FEL hydrostatic transmission and I like it a lot. It handles a 5’ bush hog pretty well. And the 4 wheel drive keeps my in yard good shape.

Agreed on the 4wd. In my opinion it’s a must with a FEL.

No doubt 4x4 is a must. I bought a kubota L4701 hydrostatic 4x4 with front end loader, 6’ bush hog, 72” grapple and a set of pallet forks. So far the grapple spends the most time up front. Tractor is super easy to drive

Looking to buy a small dozer but after that a grapple is at the top of my list. Which grapple do you have?

Would you consider buying used?

As someone mentioned, there’s a Kubota dealer in Ascension.
Went to the rodeo last night and looked at some of the tractor packages. There seemed to be some really good package deals.
It would be worth the short drive to take a look.
Also grab a free tractors house magazine. A lot of dealers sell pretty good packages through that magazine.
We run mainly Deere on the farm but there are a number of people in the area that love their Kubotas.
Again, I don’t think you’ll go wrong with any small hp tractor in any brand.

I have the land pride 72” grapple. Not as stout as others but I was worried about weight and lifting capacity of the loader. That said it has been awesome for cleaning up the logging slash at my land.

You are smart to be worried about the weight. The Kubotas are light in the back and can get tippy quick. I have water in the back tires and I’m very careful when moving anything substantial. The bushhog on the back is a must .

There's two. Lemanns and Ascension Eq. I shopped both and bought my L3901 at Lemanns in DVille. I did save money but more importantly Lemanns wanted to sell me a tractor. Sales dude at Asc Eq acted like I was wasting his time! Guess the L3901 wasn't big enough for him to expend any energy on my!
BTW love my tractor, L3901, 4x4, front end loader, 5' grader

MIght check with Goldman Equipment. They are a John Deere dealer and last year they ran a package deal on about a 30 HP tractor, etc. that was good. Probably the nearest store near you is Alexandria.

the little bit i have dealt with that place, i could see that happening. I've heard manhindra is the best bang for your buck.

Make sure it is 4x4 and with a front end loader. The loader is like having 5 laborers at your house full time.
Seal (Woodville) tractor is hard to beat on Kubota!
