Looking for recommendation for truck bed cover

Never had one before but due to a new baby and having to travel we need to keep things dry in the bed. 2021 GMC. Would like for it to be easily removable as I usually don't need it. Lockable would be preferable.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Well I’m no expert on every brand but I have used three different brands and without a doubt the best one that I have used, & is still currently in use, is a retrax. I love everything about it and my only negative comment would be that it doesn’t use oil to lubricate the tracks, it uses wax. But other than that the fit the function the ease of use all top-notch for me. Good luck on your search

I have a bakflip MX4 on my truck. If installed correctly it is water tight.
Had mine on for 2 years now and it does not leak.

Have it on a 2020 Silverado, installed in an hour myself. Looks and works great.

I have a retrax pro, it's not as dry as I'd like.

I have a powertrax and Never had any real trouble. Mine has always been dry. If I get a new truck, I am getting a powertrax again.

Lomax - easy on and off. Big plus to me is the Lomax does not have all the rubber gaskets showing.

I have the Retrax Pro MX on a 2021 GMC. Nothing but good things to say about it. Get it.

I had no idea you had to put anything on it. I guess that is why it takes all of my body weight to slide it forward.
ETA-stay away from Bakflip I had one on my last truck. The first one they sent me leaked bad in the hinges. They replaced it and the second one leaked as well. My retrax does drip around the tailgate, but nothing terrible.

No bed cover is advertised to be waterproof that I know of, some just leak a little less than the others.

My father has this style and I can confirm that It doesn't leak a drop.

Had a diamondback and it was awesome. Could haul a couple kayaks on it and it was easy to take off if I needed to.
Went to a RSI smart cap and don’t see myself ever going back to a cover.

303 Aerospace Protectant is good to use also, Rolnlok sends a small bottle with each bed cover.

Generally the bed covers that hang over the rails don't leak much at all. The only areas that might leak would be the front corners and back by the tailgate(cracks on each side)
Your fathers cover is very well made, I've sold many over the years but most young folk like the newer style(on top of bed vs wrap over)

Ditto. Diamondback is far & away the best plus it's made in America.
