Prefer made in USA, Germany, or Sweden.

Fixed blade.

Full tang construction.

8-10 inches in length.

Tanto or drop point blade preferred.

At least 1/4 inch thick. I want the knife to be able to tolerate prying or chopping if need be.

While the newer style ka-bars are nice, their handles a are trash.

Bonus points if the knife comes with a horizontal sheath.

Thanks for any help.

Abe and Moe: Goodman
Another one of Geissele's companies. Has different sheaths including one made of 7075 aluminum.

Chat slinging big money, 500 bones is a lot for a non custom knife.

Find something from Cold Steel to grind up, a BKT knife, or a Army M9 bayonet. All cheap options and tough enough for anything you could reasonably do to them.

Get you an Arkansas Toothpick, the original fighting knife. If it was good enough for Jim Bowie it's good enough for you.

Polar Bear, Jaguar or Cape Buffalo? Man is not the most dangerous game, everyone of his senses plus his will to survive are inferior to that of wild animals. If it weren’t for divine intervention cave men would’ve been sabertooth maneater poop before they survived long enough to discover fire.
