Appeared to have hit by a car/truck on Perkins Road, between Santa Maria and Blue Bayou.
I'm not an avid hunter so I'm "not" one that Hope's these cats are purged from area. Looked to be a decent sized cats.

Bobcats are a native predator and good for the ecosystem. Odds are you'll never even see one alive, there are never a whole whole bunch of them.
Predators are something that can stir up arguments with hunters. Some hate anything competing with them for game, others think the system should stay as unaltered as possible.

Sorry, I fixed my post. I meant I'm not one... and trust me, I'd much rather watch them than see them removed.
Sorry for the mix up.

Fixed mine also, point remains the same. I've spent lots of my life in the woods and haven't seen many bobcats. I saw a deer dead on the road in that area around 2010 or so.
Urbanization of animals is an interesting thing to read about. Coyotes and bears are really good at it.

I enjoy watching bobcats and foxes in their environments. I got to see a bobcat Saturday morning and it was cool to see. I leave them alone.

I hunt and don’t hate bobcats. They need to be kept at n check like any other species.

I’ve probably seen 50 at least. I’ve killed a few over the years but now I just let them be.
I’ll shoot evey coyote I see and shot one yesterday.

I saw one get hit by a car once, and he fell on the side of the road and was laying there. It was a big one. I found a place to turn around to go back and get him. I thought it would be a good skin to have. Took me less than a couple of minutes to get back, but he was gone. I guess he was just knocked out for a minute.
I'm glad he woke up before I got back there. It might have turned out bad for me.
I did kill one at my Mom's house a few years ago, she had seen it several times in the edge of the woods behind her house, and was sure it was trying to get her little dog.

Saw my first coyote on my land in Folsom on Christmas day (we’ve been here almost 4 mos. now). We have a big bobcat on the land as well - hoping I get to catch a glimpse of him one day. I’ve seen tracks and my neighbor has him on camera. Only one I’ve ever seen was one crossing the highway in Slidell a few years back.

Saw one having a territorial spat with a fox once... Got to watch it from a deer stand in mid TX. Was quite noisy.

You hate to see it

Used to be very uncommon. Once wrp became a thing and the reforestes areas grew up a little the bobcat numbers where I hunted shot up.

I've seen a few in the wild. Their speed to noise ratio is amazing. They zoom through the woods without hardly making a sound.

Same here.
Years ago I was on stand one afternoon when a big tom bobcat came down the deer trail I was set up on after I watched him cross a logging road.
I drew on him at about 18 steps and was going back and forth in my head as to if I really wanted to take him when he stopped and looked back....then slowly turned around and went back to the logging road I first saw him step out onto. Immediately three small kittens stepped out and walked up to him followed by mama bobcat.
Proceeded to watch them play (read torment) with their dad for almost an hour before the whole group slinked back into the brush.
Still one of the greatest sights I have ever witnessed in the woods after all these years.

And in todays world of cell phones, you would be able to capture that on video.

So I passed back by there and appeared as though someone propped it up against the fence, like it was sitting but leaning against the fence.
