Let's not split count hairs dude. You have my reasoning. Why you want to engage me and no one else doesn't matter to me.

Jindal's math problem is that the first thing he did was significantly cut the income tax, eliminating what was a budget balanced between income and expenditures. As a (absolutely foreseeable)result, the state is bankrupt. To cover he has sold off state assets and services, and now we have to pay more to have for-profit private industry provide what are reduced services. Despite his fire-sale of buildings, land, programs and everything else, the budget continues to go up each year. With nothing left to sell or give away, he is raiding funds which were dedicated to doing needed things like the reef program.

Jindal is a disaster. He's like a worker who quits his job (eliminating income) and then goes on a shopping spree by selling off his grandmother's car, jewelry and house.

I'm a Republican. I voted for Jindal over Blanco. I voted for Jindal after Blanco. Now I really regret it. The guy is a disaster and now he's starting to raid the fishing grounds. This has finally hit home.

I don;t really care much for politicians either, but had life gotten better or worse for you since Jindal go into office?

For me, it has gotten better overall. The little skinny fricker needs to stay out of the damn reef fund though.

I should have only grabbed the

I'm not Jindal's biggest fan but I far from hate him. And overall he has done very well for the state.

I "engaged" you because of your first post in the thread. It seemed as tho you just hated every politician. That's why I asked you that question.

Fortunately the quality of my life has nothing to do with who is in the Gov. Mansion in B.R. Things are better because I am better.

Raiding anything related to the coast or reefs is about the only thing he can do to make things worse for me.

By the time my kids are in college, Jindal will either have completely destroyed and sold off the colleges or his successor will have saved them. I think they will get saved down the road, after Jindal is gone.

You aren't the first to say this. While I, like motorboat, and am doing better than I was...it isn't because of Jindal. It's because I'm in a much better point in my career.

What indicators are you talking about when you say he has done very well for the state?

I understand that but that's only because that is what is important to you. Others may see the need for funds in other areas. You are acting as if this is going to send LA down the shitter.

Yet despite all of the doomsday havoc he's brought upon our state... we have a balanced budget and have grown job growth thru the worst recession in our country's history. The horror.

You attribute that to Bobby Jindal? Serious question.

He's the HC of the football team. He gets the credit and the blame. Of course our oil and gas industry has been strong...but I can think of about 482 other politicians that could have easily fricked our industries sideways trying to deal with the catastrophic blows to our economy and state revenues. LA has a very positive atmosphere for business's to grow, move into state and prosper...so yes, give his administration props for fostering this. Is he singularly responsible? Of course not...But Bill Clinton didn't frick up the 90's .com bubble either.

Worst? Don't think so, but I'm an industrial contractor. We've had all we could handle since before Katrina, enjoying double digit growth from 2004-2011.

I feel like I'm on the Rant critiquing Miles and the pumpers are trying to tell me "Well who do you want to be head coach?"

Except I'm the opposite here. Who would have done a better job as governor than Jindal?

This one disicion seems a little boneheaded but I'm talking big picture. His record overall. Who would you have liked to seen in office the past two terms?

Eta: Miles*

At least we could get some new rigs to reef projects done for free.
