Plenty go unbred if your herd is out of whack. Proven fact in many areas. Easy math for ya.

Boudreaux shoots his limits of bucks every year and 1 doe per year. After year 3 of the lease he notices only a few fawns. Sit down and give Boudreaux the facts:

Boudreaux you shot all but two of the bucks in your area. You have 80 does now. "they don't make deer viagra Boudreaux" He sad now.

If they don’t go unbred they are bred so late that fawn mortality is super high and that sucks.

This is very true and hard for many to understand. If your does far out number your bucks, the ones that get bred second because they were missed in first rut, will suffer gestation in heat of summer and fawns when vegetation burns down in early fall.

Certain parts of the state could really benefit from this.

If the state would get serious on hog, open a bear season, and do a better job with timber management we would really be getting somewhere.

Does the state or feds cut any timber on public land? I was told some years ago that they don’t due ti liberal anti-logging policies.

Bears are hurting deer where there are bears. We had ten different bears on 1300 acres in September.

New state and federal studies beg to differ. They hammer fawns, there is a reason why OOS bear tags in CO are $100.

Forest management of USFS and BLM land is awful out west. Not enough thinning and logging. Allows the forest to become unhealthy and overstocked. Insects and disease increase. Fires become more intense. All mainly due to liberals not understanding and accepting the importance of thinning and logging.

Kisatchie is logged all the time. Not by the feds themselves, but since it's federal land, it's the same process.

There is definitely logging occurring on Sherburne, and on parts not owned by LDWF. Some of the recent logging activity (within last 5 years) was on USFWS and Corps of Engineers land.

Lots of states (Maine for one) are loaded with deer and bear. Moose also...

Long overdue, no one needs to shoot six deer, especially these Boudreaux's coming up north and shooting every spike and button buck that walks.

Maine has a bear season and low deer harvest numbers.
Research in Tensas proved bears are a major deer predator.

I meant at their current population level. Maybe locally but state wide they aren't making a significant impact on deer populations.
