Seriously thinking of buying a lot on lake Bruin in the Tensas area. I was wondering if you guys had any experience on this lake. I've spent some time there and loved it. I won't build anything there for about 10 years when I near retirement and was curious of some of your opinions

I grew up on Lake Concordia. Lake Bruin is wonderful. My opinion only, of course. Not knowing the specifics of your property, I can only surmise that your investment is still a good one. Right now, Lake Bruin is a prized area, but I think in 10 yrs it will settle down, and your investment is a very good one. Great people in that area as well. I'm a bit envious!

In-laws have a place up there on the outside, north and I love spending time there; lots of good folks around.

Great area I have friends that live on the lake. I just started a new job in that area and my wife and I are looking at lots on Briun and Poverty Point.

How is the fishing? I've heard mixed reviews with the bass fishing, but I really enjoy catching sac a lait and perch more anyway. I've done some skiing on the lake but no fishing.

Bruin.

Don't give Francis Thompson the satisfaction.

Plus it's just a better lake all around.

Bass fishing is pretty damn good on Bruin year round. Learn how to beat docks. There are some people that wear the white perchalaits out, but I am not in that number. Lots of brush piles on gps coordinates and such. Probably would just take some paying attention, patience and a good pair of binoculars to figure out where they are. Bream fishing is great

The white perch are plentiful once you learn the lake. Balls is right pay attention to boats fishing you'll find the tops and grass beds.

I have a rich uncle that has a camp near the St. park on Bruin, I bet the water is 16' deep off the end of his pier. Whereas Concordia and St. John, I've dove to the bottom in the middle of Concordia before, silt was arse deep. We've caught some sacs up on Bruin long time ago.

It's a great lake. While not generally thought of as a trophy lake, the fish grow fast in the lake, and its cleaner than most. It is a bank fisherman's dream.

It also provides for ample non-fishing recreational opportunity.
