Do any of you have knowledge about this ranch located in Clayton, Louisiana? It seems to have both duck and deer which is what I am looking for. However, the ducks look only to be a few woodies and the deer herd info seems to be lacking. I am also considering Davis Island property but this location is closing to B.R. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you all in advance.

We hunt literally less than 2 miles by way the crow flies from them. Saw this listed on Landwatch. Go the extra 40 min to Davis Island.

Ducks LMAO. Maybe if its freezing in Arkansas a week before hand.

I am sure the deer hunting is good for the high fence but Ducks nah bruh go to davis island

"Ranch"? 1,500 ac isn't a ranch as much as a hobby farm. For the same $6M you could buy into a share operation on the island and have a shite ton of $$ left over.

Last time i looked there were multiple openings in several clubs on Davis and some of the other share clubs north of Davis.

we hunted right near there(clayton)for 7 years - at times real good..... when water rose in backwater areas... it was done..... our camp was actually real close to them.

High fence is for egos, not hunters.

I think that's the former Opossum Bayou HC. The timber was damned near clear cut about 10-12 yrs ago. Probably some good deer hunting ducks left town 2008-ish, used to be lots of ducks in that area though. High fences are gay.

If we're talking about a cattle ranch in Louisiana, that's pretty big. This ain't Texas. 1,500 acres in Louisiana can hold alot of cattle on 1,500 acres if it's well managed.

Now if it's just a "ranch" so it can have a cool name...idk...

If you can afford Davis, go there. It will hold ducks before some of the other areas...if it's cold enough to push them down...

Good thing about baturre land is the higher the water, the easier the deer hunting. Last year, everyone I know that hunted tensas islands killed 8pts or better.

When the advertisements for a hunting ranch dont have pics of dead game animals, I steer clear

If you have the money for Davis, it's not even a question in my opinion. That's where you need to be.

Watch the video. The biggest set of horns mounted in the camp house score 120 at best.
