Two scenarios:

1. Out in the wide open. A 1,500 lb. Kodiak Bear is going to charge you 100% intent on killing you unless you can kill it first. Starts 100 yards away. You are prepared and know it’s going to charge.

2. Same scenario except four big wolves from the front, sides and behind.

Which firearm (that you own) would you use in each scenario?

My other options that I own are bolt actions or pistols. I think I'd do bets with the 12 gauge.

Probably my AR. 41 rounds of Mk262 should be enough for anything.

I'd use a baseball bat in both cases.

I can crank out some pretty quick, accurate shots with a 30-30. It's faster than a bolt action gun

Gun aside, I'm wondering which scenario gives you your best chance of survival.

Are the wolves also 100 yards away?

I think I'd rather take my chances getting away or surviving the bear than the wolves (assuming their intent is to kill me, which likely will never happen in real life in the wild with a pack of wolves).

Yes, the wolves are starting at 100 yards away and 100% intent on killing you.

I feel like 2 of those wolves cover the 100 yards while you killed the other 2, so I don't think it really matters what gun you have

Two squealing wolves will take the fight out of the other two. Wolves are 100-125lb dogs, they're pack hunters and fight by attacking weaknesses and by distraction. You have 100 yds to protect your blind side and force them to fight face to face. The Kodiak is a 1/2 ton of brute force that you better stop in 100 yards or he's gonna rip your face off.

OP SBE3 with Apex TSS 3-1/2" BB and a flame throwing drone.
