My daughter is up there. She is fine when checked on at 530 this morning. Just called her and cell service must be spotty. Can’t get call through

I had text her as I posted, she was good to go. She just placed cell call to her ol Pops. The damn thing was closer to her than I had in my mind. None of her friends had any big issues as well. She said it touched down at the Bee Hive right there on the highway and around campus. I don't know if she is accurate or not.
Told her to lay low and let the emergency folks do their job. She is a member of a Sorority, maybe they can get on campus and help clean up tomorrow. I thought it would be a bad idea to muck things up today.

Yeah, KK woke me up at 5:30 and told me about it, it had hit the face book feeds. She got right in touch with her so my mind was eased but reminds you how unprepared they really are to be up there. But she gets smarter and smarter on how to deal with life every day.

We have some land and a camp less than 10 miles west of Ruston. Gonna be heading up there this weekend to check on things.

Yes, I work there. Could have been a lot worse with only 2 lives lost.
