Just let an arrow fly. I hate the wait (update page 2. Dead deer)

This is the buck I was hunting. He came in with 2 smaller ones. Then another buck showed that was way bigger in body. Not as wide but looked way more mature. I let one fly at him and he did the kick in the air so I know I hit him. Gotta wait a bit now

Waiting sucks. Obviously best to recover asap. Meat won't last too long in this heat.

Best thing you can do. I’m glad more people are doing this these days and recovering deer that would have otherwise been lost.

Where are you, Feliciana? I’ve got a good blood mutt if that one falls through.

Only found a few small spots of blood in the woods about 100 yards away. Thinking maybe I hit shoulder. Gonna go back in the morning and look some more. fricking sick to my stomach.

Why didn’t you get a dog out there? This is a no brained. It would have been my first call.

Had 2 really good dogs out there. That’s the only reason even found blood in some thick shite

At the time I was thinking he was perfect broadside but now that I think about it he may have been a little angled to me but think I’d have punched the shoulder blade and hit a lung. I’m gonna walk every inch of those thickets the next 2 days.

As much as I wanna find this buck, I know that the meat and hide will be spoiled. I’d rather him survive than have that

frick bow hunting.
