One of the most family friendly dogs I ever had. Smart as heck and as mentioned, high strung

This seems like a “your life is about to suck” comment.

I have an English Bulldog. I’m going from a dog that sleeps all day, to a dog that wants to run all day.

This should be interesting

My friend once got one. He chewed the wood off the windows on his back door trying to get in the house. They are very needy dogs. They need lots of time with you or they lose their minds. Lol...great dogs though for the right owner.

My brother’s chewed EVERYTHING. Can’t remember how many times he had to re wire his boat trailer. Hell, my dad parked in his driveway, and the dog damn near chewed everything under his truck.

Give it plenty of exercise.

had mine for 14 years now....never chewed anything. Very high strung as a puppy. I could ride my bike and let her run at my side unleashed as fast as I could go through my neighborhood and she was just trotting along... never tired out!

They are very loyal and want to be with you ALL the time (vet said mine had separation anxiety issues...lol). but that's why they call them the grey ghost, as they are always at your feet.

They have webbed feet and can run all day long, I wanted her for a rice field dog. I had her trained and marking 3 dummies and retrieving them...then I had my first kid. Now she's a house dog...and so very awesome with both of my kids. Great great dog!

You need to go beat the hell out of whoever gave it to you or sold it to you.

Beyond smart
I trained mine myself
Let him qork with other trained dogs when possible. They are so damn smart, hell train himslef.
Get the basic, sit, stay, fetch...stuff down.

Be careful on very cold days, their coat is not thick like a lab. Use a vest or something for warmth

Exercise the hell out of him daily.

Just put mine down in July and miss her everyday. Was an absolute angel with my kids. Patient and protective. Smarter an easier to train than any lab I’ve had. However, they are high strung. Like other posters said, they NEVER get tired and want to be with you 24/7. Mine was on Prozac too bc she would tear herself up when we left her alone. I got her to duck hunt but wouldn’t swim. She could swim but wouldn’t. Soooo she became a 80# couch potato. She would point at squirrels like a mofo though lol.

So sorry to hear about that man. Like I said, mine just hit 14 and she had a bad seizure early this summer, but she held on and is back to her old lazy self. But we know we are on borrowed time with her.

I hope you have a shite ton of free time to burn his energy. They are hard headed as well.

Beautiful and sweet but quite a handful.
