The renewal notice is billed as $125 for subterranean protection for one year. I called to see about continuing the services in my name and was told there would be a $95 transfer fee to put in my name and they would need to send out an inspector since the product that was put down in 2007 is only good for 10 years

I asked her what would I be paying if I just simply called in as a new customer requesting new services and she couldn't really tell me and said am inspector would need to come out either way. Is this transfer fee standard or are they trying to put the screws to me?

If you are in Baton Rouge, call Ricky Story with Baton Rouge Pest Control.

I'm sure a new customer fee is also involved.

Just continue the service and send the bill to the old owner. Problem solved.

not an answer to your question but Taurus SC and DIY.

And I've had to pay those "name transfer" fees before too when moving. I think its a scam. Water company wanted $80 to change the name on the account. Of course its water so I had to pay it or drill a well.

Really not much you can do with utilities and transfer fees...but the girl with Massey was confusing me, she wanted to charge a transfer fee to take up the contract but then stated I needed a retreatment anyway. I asked why the fee if I'm paying upfront for retreatment like a new customer and she just said they have to. lol

Tell thanks but no thanks. You will go with someone else if they want a transfer fee.

Call back and ask for a manager. She probably has a set response for most things. Managers get stuff done if possible.

F that. Dig trench around house and do it yourself. Our company sent something saying we were due for an inspection and my wife took it serious.
