No, the injunctive relief applies to the named plaintiffs; it doesn't void the NFA registry for prior purchases.

Since PSA and Silencer Shop are part of the plaintiff class, you may be able to buy suppressors from them without the NFA hoops (i.e. you'd order from them, they'd ship it to your local FFL, and they'd do the 4473 there and you take possession).

Don't dissolve anything yet. This is a positive step, but we're a long way from the finish line.

Silencershop has officially notified the ATF and DOJ of their intent to begin suppressor transfers without the encumbrance of existing NFA requirements....beginning tonight at midnight. Holy shite

It's awkward because of Trump v. CASA, which meant the judge couldn't issue a nationwide injunction.

If the government doesn't appeal, you would have a situation where the government is enjoined from enforcing the NFA provisions against the named plaintiffs, but not against anyone else. Which means you'll probably see a bunch more lawsuits from other parties, some of which hopefully either result in broader protections or work their way up to SCOTUS.

Part of me kind of wants them to appeal. Might be better if this gets to the full 5th circuit and then ultimately SCOTUS than to linger as a random district court injunction for a while.

Regardless, we're just one Democratic administration away from reinstating the tax and all of this going out the window. We need a full or partial repeal of the NFA or, absent that, a successful 2A NFA challenge.

At midnight I'm going to put a stock on one of the pistols, raise it above my head, and shout "Wolverines!"

Gonna let the dust settle before I go for a new purchase.

If you’re a member of the GOA, or named plaintiff group, and order a suppressor from SS, you are just a FFL with a set of stones away from the promised land. Could happen as early as tomorrow.

My guess is most FFL’s will wait for some direct guidance from the ATF before going ahead and tossing the NFA regs aside. But still… big win almost in reach. I remember when the AWB sunset years ago and I’m getting the same vibes tonight.
