Foggy and wet
Has to have hard bony material protruding from the skin
Got a mile from spot, tree was across road had to backtrack about 5 miles and come in from other side
Not sure if that was a sign for me to abort and go to Plan B or stay the course
We shall see

Claiborne County, MS

Woods stand on a road with a small plot and lots of fog. Two little hammers with me oldest on the trigger looking for a nice buck cruising.

Bad start in a rush to get out of camp broke the glass on smallest hammers iPad not a good omen.

Back in the box in Bienville parish. I have good deer on camera at night here, but in 10 hunts I’ve seen 1 deer here. But damnit I’m determined.

Just learned my 11 yo can’t tell his left from right. The one on the right is a button head. Shoot the one in the left. The left, make sure you shoot the one in the left.

Dead buttton head.

His left or the deers left?!? You will be happy you have that story to rib him with for years long after the burn of him shooting a button is gone...

Oh. I know. He had 22 theories on how it happened. Described in detail how he saw the big die act hit running to our right All the while the dead button was 20 yards away to the left!
