Stayed up too late watching UF game and was going to sleep in. Woke up before daylight so decided to give it a go. Sitting in a tower stand over a chop. Rut should start any day now. Just enjoying a perfect morning in the woods.

Hunting the same field where I saw the high rack yesterday, but won’t say no to a fat doe.

Rising Pearl River should have pushed some up, but also made the road back to where we’ve seen so many on camera more treacherous than I wanted to attempt, so I’m in the next closest one. Traditionally a pretty productive morning blind.

Good luck and be safe guys.

Been a big boar hog in here I’m after but yesterday evening watching a 2yr old 9pt grunting and chasing made me come back. So much fun to be a fly on the wall watching the rut happen.

Good lucks baws. It’s a beautiful morning

Been slow so far this morning. I've seen two spikes cruising. Just heard a chase and some grunting but I never could see the deer in some thick stuff.

Yesterday afternoon my father saw 9 bucks and watched a 7pt breed a doe.

Been kinda feeling down since shooting that last 10pt. I’ve killed 2 of the 3 10s I have on camera and the last one I’ve kinda felt I should have let him walk. Don’t have many prospects on camera for the future except a pretty little heavy horn 9 that needs 2 years.

But I just saw a dandy of an 8 I’ve never seen before. Heavy horns and tall. Only about 13 inches wide. He was pushing a doe around in a thicket and never got a look at his body but boy am I excited about what could be next year
