62 degrees
Lean-to over looking a creek in some hardwoods

Had to fight a large spider for my stand this morning. Hopefully it pays off. Probably my 10th hunt and I've only seen 3 deer this year. It's been slow for me, but it can't get much worse.

59 degrees and windy as hell
Box with my 30-06

Making a morning hunt then off to football and gluttony.

Have seen a different spike everyday this week. Would like to see a doe, so I can get some meat. Killed two Grey foxes yesterday at dark. Good looking jokers.

Good luck out there and stay safe. Happy Thanksgiving OB!

Box with x-bolt.
Too hot
Too many Skeeters

Hunting on Thanksgiving and I'm married. Wife is usually hunting on our property in her stand. Guess I'm lucky. Now I'm on a lease by our house but she isn't a fan of the swamp.

Marshman - full moon and temp in the 70s has the deer all messed up. Most of my game cam pictures have been at midnight this week

Sitting on partially flooded pipeline (thanks to beavers daming up a creek) had about 30 wood ducks circling...3 or 4 landed. hoping for big 12 pt with split brow tine and a drop tine to step out.

I fricked up this morning on my tree selection. Apparently we got more rain than I expected last night. Surrounded by water. I know they will move in it but it's not ideal. On the plus side just had a couple pairs of woodies fly over me.

in the shed re-cording my decoys and making another jerk cord...since the water is up where I hunt I need 8' instead of 3' of line...

Everyone be safe and have a great Thanksgiving...

With all the tracks and trails in this area I thought for sure I would have seen something headed to its bed at daylight.

Claiborne Parish. Looking for a doe I shot last night. I wound up getting turned around and stayed in the woods for about 4 hours until my uncle found me. It was not a pleasant experience.
