Maybe they need to have a salvinia tournament instead of a bass tournament. Have a dumpster at the weigh in site to haul it off to be burned.....I hear that a burn chamber will soon be available.

La Tech was working on a bioherbicide a few years ago but I have not heard anything else on it.

One thing is for sure if they keep doing the same thing over and over they will keep getting the same results. Which leads me to believe that someone either in LDWF or State Government is making money on the spraying via kickbacks or campaign contributions.

Sitting on partially flooded pipeline (thanks to beavers daming up a creek) had about 30 wood ducks circling...3 or 4 landed. hoping for big 12 pt with split brow tine and a drop tine to step out.

After getting shut out last year i busted a doe this afternoon about 2 P.M. I got in the stand about noon because the solar/lunar table said between 11:50 and 1:50 was a major feeding time. I may have to use the solar lunar table more.

re: Deer processing. How many here process their own and to what level?
Posted by fawnslayer on 10/6/15 at 4:00 pm to Bleeding purple
Quarter it and put on ice for a few days. Put backstraps and tenderloins in freezer bags, debone front shoulders and hind quarters and take to processor for grinding and if needed sausage.

If you get her a semi automatic pistol you better make sure she can work the slide with no problem, becasue "IF" it jams and she doesn't have the strength in her hands to rack the slide....she will be in a bad situation. I would either get a 357 that I also shoot 38sp in or just a 38sp.

re: What is your deer hunting situation?
Posted by fawnslayer on 11/7/14 at 10:49 am to Da Hammer
40 acres of family land
2 tripod stands down in the woods(one on each end of property)
1 box stand on pipeline
everyone around us has brown and down philosophy. we have uninvited "guests" run dogs thru there and hunt the pipeline so we normally meat hunt when we hunt there
40 acres leased near the house
2 box stands on pipeline
1 ladder stand in woods
in the 3 years we have had this lease we have killed a nice 11 point and 2 decent 8's. Dad missed nice 10 3 times the first year.
