Youth hunt this am. In a box stand with my 9 yr old and 6 year old girls.

Oldest is on buck duty, youngest looking for her first doe.

In a field planting with rye and some corn thrown on top (yes it’s rewarding for me). Been a lot of deee and hogs in here so hopefully we’ll get it done

Calm
Tikka 308 with me this morning

Tripod in a fresh select cut. Buddy of mine had 11 bucks cross the road on him 2 weeks ago at this spot. We saw 104 deer between 9 hunters yesterday evening alone, so this should be a good sit this morning. Bucks only for me today.

Good Luck OB and enjoy the weather today. We don’t get many perfect weather days on the weekends like this for hunting, so enjoy it!

Caddo. 34. Still with heavy frost. Ladder over a trail at a small spot close to the house. Have a really big 8 on cam at my main spot down south but decided to hunt little parcel close to the house after wife almost bagged a buck crossing the road yesterday. Much better to take one down with a bullet instead of her vehicle.

New stand in recently thinned bottom. Hoping to see more deer than hogs.

Good for you. Enjoying the outdoors with your kids. Can’t find an acorn on the ground which is odd for this early. Between storms and hogs vacuuming up I guess they were eaten early. I wish I threw out more corn.

On the home farm today. By this time of year, pressure has pushed most deer nocturnal in this area. But it only takes one!

No chance of me seeing anything. Had some good good red beans at the camp last night washed down with a dozen budweisers. The farts are so loud and so rotten. Combined with a metal folding chair I might as well unload my rifle.

Lots of action so far, brother shot a doe followed by a yote who was trying to eat her.

Both of us seen about a dozen deer so far.

Max high pressure isn't until 10 so should be a good day.
