The lady had a small 6 point come in at 50 yards but disappeared after ten mins . Pretty cool to see a buck on public when we haven’t had time to scout this year

On doe patrol. We are Dmap and supposed to take off 10. Just let my little 3 point buddy pass at 30 yards as he does about every other morning. Birds are everywhere. Gorgeous morning in God's country.

Just had a yearling and mom come out the woods into the field. Mom might be 160.
Last weekend to hunt does up here so if she's come around the trees into the field...she going down.

Dude I came back to the same stand I sat in this morning and suddenly it's full of fire ants. Such a PITA.
Anyone know something I could spray on the stand/tree to get rid of them and prevent them coming back?

Damn can I come hunting with you? I had to go through little Vietnam after a 30 minute boat ride to get to my stand this evening and the wasps are all currently devising a plan on how to get me to fall out of this rusty tripod.

Screwed up this morning.
Brought my 8yr old daughter to our place in St. Helena. Had a nice young 8 point come out on the pipeline. Got her lined up and stopped him. She shoots and he bolts. Climb down about 45 min later and all we could find was some white hair. Looked back at the stand and realized I got caught up in the moment and that buck was further than I thought. Feel terrible but she is handling it well. She's ready to go again.
