Area 6 public
44° calm
Phase 4, iron will head

TX5 saddle

Also in a TX5. The minimalist. I ordered it, the lady ended up calling me because she thought the patterns I chose were crazy. When I had her on the phone I asked if they would make me an EOP pack. She said they would, but they had stopped taking orders on them. Pretty sure i got the last pack and one of the last saddles they made before selling to latitude.

Anyway, 1 stick saddle setup, on the edge of a field that I’ve seen does in when it was bucks only. Hopefully they’re still coming through here. Hunting late with that full moon.

Update: got a doe with a fawn feeding at 20 yards. She gets the pass. Fawns still drinking milk.

Made an afternoon sit with son yesterday for youth week. As we are pulling in the gate the best buck on the place is on camera. I waited about 25 minutes after not seeing him to ease in to the ground blind set up and the deer was about 100 yards to our right in some brush and bolted. Sick feeling. Had him back on camera about 730 last night so hoping we didn't push him for a while. 20 minutes earlier and I get dad of the month but that's hunting.

Edit: Just got cam pics he's back cruising by at 8:00 this am. He does it tomorrow little man is getting his revenge.

I had a great hunt going. Had a young 8pt feeding under me. A few does and yearlings meandering out front. All spoiled by a pack of swine that came hauling arse in. I shot a big sow. She appeared to run off a ways with my arrow. We'll see ..

Smoked a big doe late morning.

While I was quartering her, 4 young bucks almost ran me over. They didn’t see me till they were right on top of me.
