Looked like the deer were having a rave in the food plot once I finally got settled in the stand and windows open. I made a lot of noise but it didn’t bother. No shite, there was probably at least 30, probably closer to 40. About half of that still out there. Watching through muy IR binos. Several bucks. 1 of them looks like a shooter. We’ll see what happens. Last weekend I had a great buck in front of me but he jetted out 7 minutes before shooting time. Hopefully this dude hangs out.

It was the same 9 point from last weekend. He walked off about 5 minutes before shooting hour. I will hunt here this afternoon.

Evenings are definitely my favorite time to hunt this late in the season November through late December it seems I have better luck in the mornings. After the rut, afternoons seem best.

Had several pictures of bucks fighting on camera yesterday. I think I got a hot doe or 2 in this spot that didn’t get the D during the prime rut and she must be coming back into heat.

First time in the stand since three weeks ago when Jr shot and hit an 8 point but only found a couple of small spots of blood.
Hoping for better luck this weekend.

I agree , not much moving by in Walthall county, sitting in a box on a big food plot loaded with tracks, but nothing to see, they have gone nocturnal again. Got a small single engine plane flying low circles above me now so that is good enough excuse to call it quits for the morning, head to the camp and bake some homemade biscuits, will be back in a stand this afternoon but I will be sleeping in tomorrow

I would have shot then. Shooting time is when you have enough light to see and shoot.
