re: All-Terrain Tire Recommendations

Have 110k miles on my falken at3’s over 7 years and not even starting to think about another set. Rotated pretty much every oil change. On a light aluminum body f150 with eco boost. I have a pic within the last 1k miles I’ll post if I can find it. As quiet as any tire I’ve had and pull ok off-road when needed (not great, but ok)
So he doesn’t do restoration work anymore? That sucks. I bought a 350x from him years ago out of his garage and later had him paint a big red tank and triple tree for me. Recently acquired a atc70 when my daughter was born and been saying I would call him to see about a resto since I don’t have the time (or his skill level) to do it myself. Guess that’s not an option anymore…
That’s a heck of a return on investment. If I remember right, that bike was purchased for about $70k just a few years ago.

I’ve been once. We hauled a boat down to Islamorada and just went out blindly during the mini season. Weather did not cooperate and we struggled. Never did figure out the lasso or the tickle stick, but we got lucky and just grabbed a few. All the videos on YouTube show guys gently easing them out with the stick and scooping them up, but every one I touched with a stick just vanished in a cloud of sand.
re: Accessorizing a 10/22. Where to start?

What are your intentions with said 10/22?
I got lucky several (or more) years ago and found a deal on the hornady leverevolution in 35 rem and bought all I could get. It’s one of my favorite hunting rounds so I’ve slowly been running through it. Always said if I saw a decent price on any more I would stock up again, but due to prices I haven’t bought any in a long time. Will be a sad day when I run out. That may be the round that gets me into reloading.
re: Furthest distance to tow a boat

We towed my buddy’s 28’ center console about 1000 miles to the keys with a 1/2 ton. There was lots of prep for potential issues but luckily didn’t have any trouble. Took over 20 hours. 6 days later we hauled it back. Cost was about break even vs. renting a boat there. Was not fun especially with undersized tow vehicle. Even with proper planning and everything going perfect… next time I’ll fly and rent a boat.
I don’t know much about the newer models, but I’ve had a Yamaha Kodiak 450 (2003) and now Grizzly 700 (2008) and they have been terrific. I don’t abuse them but also don’t baby them or keep up with maintenance like I should. If I ever upgrade I’ll probably be looking at another Yamaha. They never let me down.
Did the loop about 13 years ago (give or take a few years). It was right after some terrible flooding had ruined the camping area. We were inexperienced and over estimated our abilities. We packed way too heavy and set out just before dark and only made it about a mile on Friday night before setting camp. We had to be back on the road Sunday afternoon. One buddy brought his girlfriend and the pace we kept about ruined her for hiking forever. We carried her and her pack the last couple miles on Sunday. We still enjoyed it but our ignorance really robbed all the fun out of the trip. I still want to go back and do it again but do it right next time.

A few more details may help us point you in the right direction. 4wd? Loader? Hours? Price? Facebook seems to be the most popular marketplace these days.
I have been using the VTS Frog for 3 years and have been happy with it. Battery lasts all night and is plenty bright. I never use my hard hat style wired light anymore. I also had the VTS 5 watt but the beam was too narrow in my opinion. It hardly ever got used and crapped out on me after 2 years. If I was buying again I would get another Frog.

First choice would be to trade my 20’ Reno for a Ranger 2660. Second choice would be to replace the rotten wood in Reno to composite. Third choice is swap 115 opti for 140 zuk

I have the CVA scout and Marlin 336 in 35 rem. I hunt with them way more than I do any other rifles. Great round when shot distance is limited. I love both of mine.
Cooking at home I use my pellet grill, cooking for a crowd I use a wood burning smoker. The pellet grill is 10x easier and results are similar.
So if I observe a king snake near the boundary of the speckled and black home ranges, would it be safe to identify it based solely on what side of the river I am on (assuming I am not much South of Baton Rouge)? Because I have seen snakes my entire life that I called a speckled, but I live East of the Mississippi River. I guess I have been wrong all these years. TIL

Seems like the same logic should apply to braces and forced reset triggers.
I work for a large utility company and we have online accounts with clothing allotments pre-loaded every year. We probably order 10,000 boots every year and can’t find manufacturers or distributors to provide boots right now. It’s like there just aren’t any boots out there.
