Got a cousin that had that exact thing happen a few years ago. Very nasty stuff. He spent 3 days in the hospital. Thought he stepped on a nail (only caught one fang) and when he jumped back there was a damn demon arse 3 foot cottonmouth. He beat the shite out of it with a stick before he walked home. Tough arse kid

I stepped on one at Links on the Bayou. Very small. Could not get to my ankle, but damn he was trying. I did not hit another good shot for 4 holes.

My cousin got bit in ville platte. They have a pond in the cow pasture and occasionally they will see one there. Nowhere near as many as we have in the swamp. We are filthy with em.

The 2 times I played Pelican Point I saw probably 3 or 4 each time. It doesn't help that I buy balls that have some sort of magnetic attraction to the edge of water hazards.
