and im not talking about the ecoboost either. im in the market (bad time i know) for a used full size 4x4 and its amazing how many trucks from ram and chevy have the 3.6 (ram) and the 4.3 (chevy). i guess its the death of the V8.

The government is requiring manufacturers to produce trucks that meet certain fuel consumption levels so they use v6’s and such to accomplish that.

It would be a good thing if they were priced accordingly, but they are not.

nope, not really, im looking to get out my jeep, and into a late model crew cab 4x4. its a horrible time i know, but im beginning to have some little aches and pains that are worsened by riding/driving in the jeep.

Lots of these small motors are putting out the power of V8 trucks from not that long ago... I still want a big arse V8 in my truck.

My next truck will be a Titan XD most likely. I want a Ford with the 5.0 but they are having too many issues.

So far, I've been pleasantly surprised with my Toyota Tundra with the 3.5L v6 twin turbo.
Putting out 387hp which is the exact same as the V8 that is in my old (now my son's) Sequoia.
With new 33" KO2 I'm getting 18-19 mpg

I just traded my 5.0 in on gmc diesel. 5.0 had 250,000 miles but was still running good. I have heard they are having electrical issues on the new ones.

At some point us men will resort to just finding a body in good shape and dropping in crate motors. I am not far from it with all the fricking issues the new trucks have.

It’s being discontinued. I’m sure there’s a reason. Personally I wouldn’t want to find out why. They’re killing the Titan altogether in a year or two.

Thank your govt for requiring it for mileage as they push you to EV's.
