they just dont shoot, bottom line. had a LOT of customers come back complaining about poor groupings
I listened to the meat eater podcast episode recently where they had some Savage arms reps there and they were saying that on the guns that are returned for this same thing and they said they test every return for accuracy. They said generally what they find that these rifles that are returned those shooters have been using cheap ammo or not high quality ammo cuz they will test them with a quality round and have no issues at all with groupings.
But what they recommended before anyone returned any gun is to test the weapon with multiple brands of ammo and in different qualities because it will definitely change the grouping pattern.
Do you find this as well?

Most of those people probably cant shoot worth a shite either. Not everyone is capable of 0.5 moa.

Certainly. And "quality ammo" isnt always the solution. I've seen guns that hated Nosler and loved Remington CoreLokt. They like what they like. We won't send a gun back unless the customer has requested it multiple times and we believe that they've exhausted every option. We always tell people to try different ammo, try letting someone else shoot it, etc. Even if your gun shoots well out of the box, I still recommend experimenting with ammo - you never know what it will like.
and like saintsfan said, most people just suck at shooting. if Jimbob brings in a Sako and complains about it shooting 2in groups, we usually roll our eyes and play along. We had a guy take a 2" whiner's gun home, shot a 0.8" group at 100 yds, and gave it back to the guy

I do find different grouping based on brands of ammo. I tried about 8 different brands with the best being these guys.

Kinda like Gunny Highway did on the range in Heartbreak Ridge?
Back on point, are the Remington Senderos garbage now? I have been paying close attention to this thread. I have one in 300 Mag and I like it, but it is my only bolt gun. My other deer rifles are AR's. I would love to get another bolt rifle in maybe 7 Mag but have heard lots of bad stuff about the Rems lately?

Went on ahead and got a Winchester model 70 Super Grade, maple stock. Should be at the FFL in a couple days.

I have heard that Senderos shoot great. My buddy has one in 7mm RUM but I cant tell you what size groups he gets. I do know he has killed numerous animals with it.
I saw a Youtube video of a guy that mounted his scope on a 7mm RM Sendero and was shooting clover leafs with it at 100yds and farther. Remingtons are bad about QC but the truth is most any brand rifles can outshoot the shooter.
I read on the internet that some guys are shooting 3-4" groups with their Sakos. IMO the barrel has to be bent to get that bad on nearly any rifle. Im not nearly as good a shoot as I used to be (developed a bad flinch sighting in my TC muzzleloader years ago) but if my rifle was shooting a 4" group I would borrow another rifle before claiming it was the gun.
When I got my TC Omega years ago I shot a box of 200gr bullets with 150gr of powder. Couldnt get it sighted in. Walked to the target and the bullets were hitting the target sideways. My shoulder was blue, hurting and I was flinching bad. I called TC and they told me it was too light of a bullet to go with 250gr. I can get a 2" group at best. 2 shots almost touching and a 3rd is off. Its me without a doubt. Its the only gun I havent lost an animal with yet and thats shooting at 100-120yds.

I love mine if you can actually love a gun that has recoil that will get your attention with the quickness. I only have it for elk or when I get on an exotic hunt for bigger game like Nilgai or Stag.

I have 300WSM Remington that will not group better than about 1.75 MOA with Federal Premiums, but throw in some cheap arse Fusions and that thing shoots .5 MOA all say.
I also have a new stock and trigger so that helps. The groups were twice the size prior.
