Rebel is the best. Ordered some Friday and it shipped about 30 minutes later. Should show up this week
Snow or no snow, she should taste fine all the same. Congrats!
Either caliber will do what you’re wanting, but one will do it with a tad less recoil. You won’t notice the difference with an animal, but you will when you’re practicing. .308 should be a little easier on the shoulder (not that a 30-06 is horrible). Generally speaking, the .308 typically comes in a lighter and shorter rifle, which will make for a better experience carrying one for miles at a time while stalking elk through the back country. Maybe in the 60s you needed a 200gr bullet to reliably kill elk, but with today’s bullet technology that’s not necessary. Randy Newberg breaks it down for elk calibers in this video. As far as stainless vs blue goes. That’s all personal preference. I own both and never had a problem with either. The deer haven’t been able to tell much of a difference. Good luck. Congrats on the new gun and hunting opportunity!

I’m actually impressed this hasn’t turned into a fanboy pissing match. That seems to happen fairly often when new bows are brought up. Good job OB
Nice truck baw

Good luck! Never fun seeing the little ones cry.
If it’s really 20% less vibration than the Triax that would be crazy. I’m not sure what 20% of nothing is, but I’m excited to find out
Yea I like the draw weight mods idea. Grip seems nice. Like anything archery though, won’t know til you shoot it.
Interested to see how it shoots. As of right now I think I’m going to either keep my Elite Impulse or get the Ritual 30.

You don’t know til you know lol...I shot my first deer with a reaper, found my broadhead was closed after a full pass through. Deer went 30yds. I thought damn, imagine if that thing had opened!

Grim reapers close after they’ve passed through something almost all the time. Once momentum of the arrow stops, it causes the blades to spring back to the closed position. They talk about it on their website and show it on their YouTube. Skip to the 1:10 mark.

Go watch any episode from seasons like 2-5 of pigman the series. All he shoots is reapers. It’s where his term “high velocity splatter” came from lol....they are tough as nails

I don’t use a crossbow so I can’t say their crossbow specific heads are great, but I won’t hit the woods with anything other than a grim reaper. I tried others and found my way back to the reapers. Absolutely love them. No o rings or rubber bands. They are awesome heads.
You’re probably just smarter.

November 13. I am one of the few that didn’t 100% love the Triax. It just felt a little funny in my hand at the draw. The bottom kind of kicked out on me. Loved how it shot and held, but I just didn’t love the hand feel in the draw cycle. It’s easily the most dead in the hand bow I’ve ever shot. Ended up with a heavily discounted NIB Elite Impulse 31. I love it.
I shot the Elite Ritual 30 the day they announced it. Unless the new Mathews Vertix feels better, I’ll probably pick up the Elite for next year.
This year:
1 3/8” grim reaper 3 blades
9pt buck
Double lung
Shot him at 18yds
He ran ~ 50yds before piling up.
I could have jogged and followed the blood trail it was so visible.
Last year:
.308 165gr Federal Fusions
7pt buck
Heart/lungs
Shot him at 75yds
Took a couple steps and piled up.
