Hard not to pass up. Can carry the most ammo and it is by far the most I have on hand. Quantity is a quality of it's own.

Yep. I’d grab rifle that I could find the most ammo out in the wild. So probably either a .22lr or .223

That's probably the correct answer. 9mm. Something that will take glock mags, like maybe this. Install a brace and there you have it.

Hell, in a food situation, my son's Daisy .177 Cal. Multi-Pump Pneumatic would take down plenty of squirrels and he probably has a half million "rounds."

I laugh but now that I think of it, a damn bb gun would be a great small game hunting weapon in a survival situation. You would save your real ammo for what you needed. You wouldn't have to burn up a 5.56 for a squirrel or a bird. It would be the modern equivalent of a slingshot.

Definitely, and a few traps. I guess that goes beyond the question. I'll say the .22LR that I have because of the rounds it holds, it's easy to shoot and accurate. Also have a ton of ammo compared to the bigger stuff.

Rem 700 in 308, blued steel and glorious walnut.

And a GP 100 on my hip.

Gonna go out in style.

Availability of ammo is more important than round. I'd probably pick 5.56 in an AR platform.

If just for hunting, I'd prefer a .22, but for both self-defense and hunting, 5.56.

One of my favorite guns to shoot is my Service 6, the predecessor of your GP 100. I just wish I had it chambered in .357 instead of 38 spc because the 357 can shoot both.

Same here, plus the availability of parts for maintenance and repair.
If I'm doing Armageddon in style,

My Marlin .30 .30. I haven't shot it but 2 -3 times in the last 20 years. If I had to choose a single rifle that had to last for many years for food, defense, ability to take abuse and keep firing. My Marlin would get selected from my current inventory.

AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel mainly because I have 3k rounds and it’ll knock a tick off a dogs arse at 300 yards.

I have a CMMG kit.

Most accurate available rounds are the mini mags.

The velocitors are the most accurate but they are hard to find.

Mini mags are good enough to kill shite at a decent range without adjusting sights.

Yep.

Bought the kit from palmetto for 169

Edit:
Put a little gun oil on the spring and cycle it by hand a bunch before shooting. The first several had some hang ups ejecting.

After I actuated the spring a bunch they shoot awesome. The kids love it. I liked it so much I sold my mossberg 715T

You should have at least 1k rds of ammo for the major caliber of guns you own ie 9mm 5.56 45 acp. Not talking about 45lc 44 mag or your 6.5 creed deer rifle. I try to never let my stash get below 2K.

I know. Feel like a fool for not stocking up eons ago.
